Common questions
Where is my workout data stored?
In your own iCloud account, through Apple's CloudKit, which is how Notes and Reminders sync across your devices. Your workouts never reach a server we run.
A WODsoup account is separate. If you make one to track your PRs or join a gym, your details, PRs, training sessions and any waiver you sign are stored on our server. That way they follow you to a new phone, and in a gym your coach can see your details and results. Your workouts stay in iCloud either way. The Privacy Policy covers the rest.
Is there an Android app?
Not in the Play Store. On Android, WODsoup runs in the browser with your PRs, training sessions, WODs, and your gym if it uses WODsoup. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. Here’s how.
Does WODsoup work on iPad?
Yes. It’s the same app from the App Store, laid out for the bigger screen. Use the same Apple ID and your workouts sync between your iPhone and iPad through iCloud. Sign in to the same WODsoup account and your PRs sync too.
What does hosting a gym cost?
Members and coaches never pay. The person hosting the gym taps Create a Gym in the app and picks a monthly, yearly or one-time plan, with prices shown in their own currency. You manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID’s subscription settings.
If a subscription lapses, nothing is deleted. The roster, waivers, dues and past announcements all stay, and sending workouts and posting new announcements pause until it’s renewed.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open the Gym tab, tap Your Account, then Delete Account. It deletes your details, your PRs, your training sessions and your gym membership. Your own workouts in iCloud are untouched, and waivers you signed stay with your gym as their record.
No iPhone or iPad? The web app can’t delete accounts yet, so email the address above from your account’s email address and it will be deleted the same way.
My workouts aren't showing up on my other device
Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID and have iCloud enabled for WODsoup (Settings → your name → iCloud). Sync can take a minute, especially over cellular.
If iCloud storage is full, new workouts only save on the device until you free up space. Check Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Can I use WODsoup without iCloud?
The app works without being signed in, but your workouts won't sync or back up, so they only exist on that one device.
I found a bug
Email what happened and, if you can, what you were doing just before. That's usually enough to track it down, and screenshots help.
I have a feature request
Send it over. WODsoup is under active development, and feedback from coaches shapes what gets built next.
